Dr. Miller Part 1 and 2

I have been inspired once again. I am anticipating the day that I become a teacher and can use all of the amazing tools that Dr. Miller has shown in this video. How he presented the material was normal, his voice was the same throughout, but that is okay. I honestly was paying attention to his voice and what he had to say, but not as closely as I was to watching what was on my screen.
There were two tools that I really liked and can not wait to use. I liked how he incorporated the writing, text, videos all on one interactive lecture! The Martin Luther King clips, pictures and text were organized so well and it truly was eye capturing. The lecture was very attractive.
Part to of the video seemed to be so much better. Everything that Jonathon Harris does is amazing! Although it looks so interesting and so complex, how would you start something like that. How funny it is that he has created a "emotional profile" on different cities! I noticed that he mentioned that what Harris is composing is not really out there all the way yet, it is still very new. Because this video is from 2008, have there been any changes since then? I would like to learn how to use what Harris does, "composing with the Internet."
I have worked with AutoCadd2000 and I always thought it was the coolest program, but this other CADD program that walks you through, wow! I decided that it would be so useful to use in school. I imagined using it the first day of classes. Let's say that I would create a layout of our school so that the students could have a chance to "walk through" and know where they are. It is just another way to show the children of the future what can be done to facilitate or encourage higher learning. By showing this CADD model to the students, he or she may finally realize what they want to be in the future. The more we introduce to them the more familiar they will be with how the world operates, what is being used, and what kind of jobs are out there.
All the way through the end of the part 2 video I watched in amazement. The last bit of the video where the copyright symbol rolls off the edge and splits was so interesting. Why should we continue without these great tools? I believe we should take advantage of all the free resources possible and make teaching more attractive to our students.
